It affects excavation, it affects whether a basement or a deep sump is sensible at all, and it affects the waterproofing spec. A weaving town, at a domestic scale
Bhavani is known for its jamakkalam weaving, and a lot of that work happens in and beside homes rather than in industrial estates. Buildings here often have to do two jobs — living space and working space under one roof, with the power, ventilation and floor loading that implies. Worth designing in from the start rather than retrofitting.

Can you build a house with a weaving or work space attached?
Yes, and it is worth planning as one building rather than as a house with an extension. Floor loading, power routing, ventilation and a separate access all get easier and cheaper if they are in the drawing from the first sketch.
Is the ground near the river a problem to build on?
Not a problem, but it is a design input. Near the confluence the water table is high and the soil varies over short distances, so we test the plot before we design the foundation — and we tell you what that does to the cost before you commit, not after.
