Pallipalayam is a municipality in Komarapalayam taluk, Namakkal district, on the bank of the Kaveri directly opposite Erode — Erode Junction is about six kilometres away. The state highways to Tiruchengode, Komarapalayam and Sankagiri all run through it.
It is a textile town: yarn-dyed and grey fabric, dhotis and lungis, and spinning mills. So alongside family houses and highway shops, a large part of the building work here is sheds for weaving, dyeing and processing. Our office is in Komarapalayam, about ten kilometres away, so Pallipalayam is home ground for us.

A dyeing or processing unit needs floor falls, drainage channels and an effluent route that satisfies the inspection; a weaving shed needs a slab for constant vibration and ventilation for the heat. We design around the machine layout and the process.
Highway frontage has its own rules
On the Tiruchengode and Sankagiri roads, setbacks, parking and access from the carriageway shape a commercial building as much as the plot does. We check the frontage conditions before the plan is drawn.
